Tournaments: To really be known as a professional gambler you are going to need to win a tournament or two. This is where a professional players makes the money he needs to travel around gambling all year long. If a pro poker player can win one big million dollar tournament a year. It is more then enough to travel around and to pay for the entrance fees to many of the world series of poker qualifying tournaments all over the country. Work: For the professional Poker player going to work means sitting in an online poker room or in a casino at the poker table. For those of you, who may be thinking the playing poker for a living would be a great way to spend your day, try to remember that at your office you show up in the morning and go home 8 or 9 hours latter and you get paid for the day. When you are a professional poker player if you are not winning not only are you not making money at work you are losing money. The hours of a professional poker player are often long and hard. Most casinos are open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week and the professionals have to sit and play every day until they win or give up and get a regular job.
